Edit PSD Files Online
Without Photoshop
Open Adobe Photoshop PSD files in your browser. Edit layers, text, and adjustments, then export back to PSD or PNG. Your file never leaves your device.
How to edit a PSD in the browser
- 1
Open the editor
Open the editor and click "Open file", or drag your PSD directly onto the editor window.
- 2
Layers load automatically
The layer stack appears on the right. Pixel layers, text, groups, and adjustment layers are all shown.
- 3
Make your changes
Edit text, paint on pixel layers, adjust colors, reorder or hide layers — same workflow as Photoshop.
- 4
Export
Use File → Save As → PSD to save back to Photoshop format, or export to PNG/JPG/WebP for web use.

PSD editing — questions
- Can I open a PSD made in the latest version of Photoshop?
- PSD is supported, but compatibility is not guaranteed for every feature or document. Retain the original and compare the result.
- Will my text layers still be editable?
- Yes. Text layers open as live, editable text layers. Font substitution happens when the original font is not available in your browser.
- Can I export back to PSD after editing?
- Yes. Use File → Save As and choose PSD. Reopen the result to check its layers and appearance.
- What happens to smart objects?
- The editor supports smart objects, but embedded content and complex transforms may differ. Check your documents and exported results.
- Is there a PSD file size limit?
- Large PSDs can exceed browser memory. There is no guaranteed maximum size; test with copies and check exports.
- How is PhotoCraft different from Photopea for PSD editing?
- Both support PSD in the browser. PhotoCraft processes files locally (nothing uploaded), is open source, and uses an open-source editor. Photopea has broader format support and a longer track record. Both are free for basic use.
